Please allow me to introduce myself. I am Dave Ullom, Pastor of the Wild Flower Presbyterian Church in Sioux Falls since August of 2010. I grew up on a farm east of Flandreau and was able to attend Camp Rimrock in 1971 before my senior year of high school. It changed my life!
I grew up in a family that was very committed to their faith, and had been in church nearly every Sunday of my life, but experiencing God on “Inspiration Point” at the cross above Camp Rimrock was transformational to my faith commitment and relation with my Lord, Jesus Christ.
That experience has given me a rich love for Camp ministry that I was able to live out through the Presbyterian Camp on Lake Okoboji while I was a pastor in Iowa for 32 years. While there I served on the Bi-Presbytery Camp Committee for 11 years and Directed week-long camps there 22 years plus a few more participating as a Chaplain.
I am now serving on the Camping Commission of the Presbytery of South Dakota and am very excited to be able to share with you through this forum. I hope to be able to build relationships and share some of your stories as well as stories and activities that are a part of the valuable resources we have in Camp Rimrock and Pioneer.
