A welcome from Doug Hoffman, Associate for Camping...

Hi, welcome to our ministry! This is such a wonderful ministry too because so many people are changed, transformed, molded into disciples and leaders.

I love camp and youth ministry because it is where I can have fun and play. It's also where I can have some very deep, DEEP conversations about God, the church, life, faith, and just about everything else that we find put onto our plate in life. I also love this because I feel called to Christian Education and my ministry is about teaching, and creating teachable moments, for people of all ages. These moments help equip us to be leaders in the church and give us the skills and experiences to help one another along in the walk of faith.

A few notes about me: I've worked in camping for about 10 years now, getting my start in 1996 when I graduated from college. I most recently served a church outside of Washington, DC where I was serving in Christian Education.

I like to bake, watch House on television, am a Colts fan (being from Indiana), enjoy baseball (spring training is a sign that summer is close), and enjoy nature and the outdoors. I love Frisbee and soccer. In my spare time, you might see me running around camp ringing the bell and screaming, "Canteeen! Canteeen!"

I'm hoping you come to camp this summer. It's about the fun, friends and faith! It's a great place to be! Can't you tell by the look on my face?
